چکیده

with the ability to assist people to make reasonable decisions in an emergency, scenario-response paradigm has been widely regarded as one of the most effective emergency management models. In order to promote the processing capacity of scenario information for Emergency Response System (ERS), a new kind of scenario ontology is proposed in this paper. Following the wellknown modeling primitives, the scenario ontology is constructed on the basis of PROTON (Proto Ontology), the reference layer ontology of FactForge that includes some central datasets of Linked Open Data (LOD). The event module, scenario module and mitigation module comprise the core level scenario ontology, defined with some core concepts and relations, which can be reused in the domain level scenario ontology. Considering earthquake is a representative emergency, we analyze the scenario information required by decision makers in some earthquakes, and design the scenario ontology of earthquake as an example in the domain level scenario ontologies. To show the validity of the scenario ontology, we implement the scenario ontology of earthquake with Protégé and develop a prototype system, which can retrieve some parts of scenario information from FactForge and provide a visualization interface for decision makers to browse the scenario instances involved in an earthquake.

Research of Scenario Inference of Emergency Based on OWL and SWRL

Although the scenario analysis has been extensively sudied in the area of emergency managnemt, the heterogeneous data and the lack of semantic meaning always hamper the performance of scenario inference in many emergency response systems. Aiming at this problem, we proposed a scenario inference model and implemented this model with Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Semantic Web Rule Language (SWR...

AN APPLICATION OF APPROXIMATE ONTOLOGY MATCHING IN eRESPONSE

Ontology matching is a key problem in many metadata intensive application domains, including emergency response, data integration, peer-to-peer information sharing, web service composition, and query answering on the web. In this paper we present an emergency response scenario based on the organizational model as used in Trentino region, Italy. We provide a formalization of this scenario with t...

SEMA4A: An ontology for emergency notification systems accessibility

Providing alert communication in emergency situations is vital to reduce the number of victims. Reaching this goal is challenging due to users’ diversity: people with disabilities, elderly and children, and other vulnerable groups. Notifications are critical when an emergency scenario is going to happen (e.g. a typhoon approaching) so the ability to transmit notifications to different kind of u...

An Intelligent Algorithm for Optimization of Resource Allocation Problem by Considering Human Error in an Emergency Department

Human error is a significant and ever-growing problem in the healthcare sector. In this study, resource allocation problem is considered along with human errors to optimize utilization of resources in an emergency department. The algorithm is composed of simulation, artificial neural network (ANN), design of experiment (DOE) and fuzzy data envelopment analysis (FDEA). It is a multi-response opt...
